Cross Frame
I designed my cross frame from the drawings of the 1935-39 Morgan Super Sports getting the pattern in the lower left of the plans. In the lower right is a plan closer to the front end of the new 2011 three wheeler. In both cases it is made from 5/8" thick material.
- Cut a rectangle of 5/8" material to size for your choice of cross frame.
- Mark and drill the 5/16" axle pin holes.
- Mark the outline of the cross frame on the front of the block and cut it out on a band saw.
- Round over the edges, top, ends, and bottom on either side of the motor mount slot on a router table with a 1/4" quarter round bit.
